للرياضيات دور هام في جميع الدراسات العلمية : إذ تساعد العلماء على تصميم تجاربهم وتحليل بياناتهم.
ويستخدم العلماء الصيغ الرياضية لتوضيح ابتكاراتهم بدقة، ووضع التنبؤات المستندة إلى ابتكاراتهم
الرياضيات علم لا يستغنى عنه في الحياة اليومية. فنراها تتدخل في تفاصيل الحياة ففي الأمور البسيطة نتعرف على الوقت، وباقي النقود بعداتمام عملية الشراء أو البيع، وفي الأمور المعقدة كتنظيم ميزانية البيت أو تسوية دفتر الشيكات.وتستخدم الحسابات الرياضية في الطبخ والقيادة والبستنة، والخياطة، ونشاطات عامة عديدة أخرى.
وتؤدي الرياضيات كذلك دورًا في العديد من الهوايات والألعاب الرياضية.
الكثير منا يرى أن الرياضيات عموماً شيئاً ليس بالأهمية القصوى في حياة الإنسان، وينتشر بين الناس أن أهمية الرياضيات في حياتنا :
إنها علوم لتوسيع الآفاق ( لتشغيل الدماغ )
لكن بالطبع هناك سبباً أكبر وأهم بالتأكيد
لا تخرج سيارة من مصنعها بدون تحديد مركز كتلتها وثقلها ومحورها المركزي،
كنوع من عوامل الأمن والسلامة على الطرق المختلفة وسرعات السيارة المختلفة
هل سألت نفسك كيف يمكن حساب مساحات وحجوم الاستادات والمُجمعات الرياضية الأوليمبية الهائلة الحجم والتصميم ..
هل سألت نفسك لو كان شكل حمام السباحة ليس شكلاً هندسياً منتظماً !
فيكون مثلاً مستوياً في مكان ما ثم يبدأ بانحدار بسيط ثم يزداد الانحدار انحداراً ..
ثم تتخد جوانب الحمام شكلاً منحنياً .. أو شبه بيضاوياً ..ثم يعود ميله بالارتفاع قليلاً
انه علم التفاضل و التكامل يا شباب ...

Have you asked yourself if the shape of the swimming pool is not a regular geometric shape!
